Senior Research Associate, Reagent Manufacturing
Spear Bio is seeking an experienced Senior Research Associate to join our Reagent Manufacturing team. The successful individual will play a critical role managing inventory and testing of incoming raw materials, and will have direct prior experience managing inventory and testing of incoming raw materials within a diagnostic or life sciences manufacturing team.

Senior Research Associate, Reagent Manufacturing
Spear Bio is seeking an experienced Senior Research Associate to join our Reagent Manufacturing team. The successful individual will play a critical role managing inventory and testing of incoming raw materials, and will have direct prior experience managing inventory and testing of incoming raw materials within a diagnostic or life sciences manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory for incoming raw materials: antibodies, antigens, peptides, recombinant proteins, critical blockers (BSA), carrier proteins.
- Manage testing: HPLC, gel electrophoresis, some running of assays to see if it works on the new materials.
- Monitor internal inventory of reagents, and escalate internal orders from Assay Development & Workflow Development teams to lab fulfillment.
- Perform troubleshooting with non-conforming materials to ensure high quality product performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in BA/BS in biology, biochemistry, bio-engineering or related field.
- 2-4 years of direct experience performing inspection of incoming raw lab materials and inventory management, in a diagnostic or life sciences manufacturing environment required.
- Experience running biofluid-based (serum or plasma) immunoassays on raw materials for testing purposes.
- Strong communications skills, proactive work style, enjoys being part of a collaborative team and desire to grow within a start-up environment.
