General Summary:
The Healthcare Management intern is a person who assists in the daily operations of a healthcare organization, including the hospital and practices. The main responsibilities of a healthcare administration intern may include:
Essential Job Functions:

Participate in meetings with various directors and/or Sr. Team members to discuss patient care and operational policies and procedures.

Conduct research and analysis on healthcare policies and procedures and prepare reports and recommendations for management.

Support various staff in performing daily duties such as scheduling appointments, managing records, and handling patient inquiries.

Assist with billing and coding procedures, including filing insurance claims, posting payments and managing accounts receivable and payable.

Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards.

Provide support for special projects and initiatives, such as new program development and technology. Specific projects to be assigned per Preceptor Manual.
