Custodian

Spearville USD 381 has an opening for a full time custodian position available for immediate hire. Full time position with occasional hours after school sporting activities.

Benefits/ Terms:

• Full time

• 12 months of the year

• 8 days of sick leave accumulative to 72 days

• 4 personal days accumulative to 5

• Holidays

• Vacation accrued every month

• $600 toward health, dental and vision insurance

• Starting salary is $16.92, but increases depending on experience up to $24.17

Hours:

• Up to 40 hours per week as assigned by the superintendent

• 30 minute lunch

• 2 fifteen minute breaks

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Ensure outside grounds are safe and clean.

2. Snow removal on sidewalks as needed.

3. Set up work schedules and oversee other custodians.

4. Ensure the building is clean, orderly, and safe.

5. Be familiar with the operation of the fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and basic maintenance of the building.

6. Work with the Superintendent and maintenance to upkeep inventory of equipment, and cleaning supplies

7. Ensure the building and contents are in working order.

8. See that the lunchroom and gyms are set up and cleaned daily.

9. Assist with cleaning at school functions when requested.

10. Other duties as assigned by the building and district administrator.
