Job Summary:
Collaborate with field teams to ensure the availability of all necessary resources for project success, while taking on increasing responsibility for project tasks such as scheduling, budget control, on-time project delivery, and maximizing gross profits.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure all employees working on the project adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Oversee the production and scheduling of subcontractors and field personnel.
- Be accountable for the actions of foremen and all crew members.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of the entire installation.
- Track and enhance productivity levels throughout the project.
- Assist in the pre-planning of installations in collaboration with site managers.
- Manage the project in alignment with contract and subcontract specifications.
- Maintain frequent communication with general contractors/owners, supervisors, and other trades/subcontractors to update on progress and coordination for efficient electrical equipment installation.
- Regularly communicate with site management teams and field personnel to ensure awareness of material availability, including any backordered items.
- Review and evaluate blueprints/drawings to stay updated on project changes and to maintain accurate as-built records.
- Maintain frequent communication with site management and field crews, providing updates and necessary instructions.
- Ensure the correct amount of materials are ordered and delivered to the appropriate areas of the job site, supporting timely installation.
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure adherence to drawings and project plans.
- Monitor installation progress to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Determine necessary actions to meet tasks and ensure compliance with NEC and client standards.
- Manage field job productivity and manpower:
- Oversee material staging and handling.
- Be proactive and solution-oriented.
- Foster high morale among teams.
- Ensure cost-effective installations.
- Adhere to the project plan and layout.
- Schedule manpower based on production needs.
- Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager on weekly manpower scheduling.
- Develop field personnel:
- Promote effective communication.
- Follow the field personnel responsibility chart.
- Maintain high morale on each project.
- Enforce field policies and procedures.
- Manage change orders:
- Track and monitor all changes to the job.
- Compile change orders for submission and review.
- Oversee billing:
- Ensure billing aligns with the current contract value, including change orders.
- Bill projects accurately and on time using approved project forms.
- Closeout Documentation:
- Ensure as-built records are complete.
- Conduct owner training as required.
- Manage returns and clean-off procedures.
- Verify that installations meet plans and specifications and confirm project completion.
