Your Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist responsible for performing all necessary analysis to set up billing and prepare monthly invoices in a multi-company environment. The ideal candidate will work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating the ability to handle stress and work well under pressure. This role requires the ability to assess, interpret, and apply government and industry standards, specifications, and handbooks to specific tasks. The Billing Specialist will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and review basic contract documents
- Collaborate with the Project Accounting team to set up billing
- Calculate and process invoices in Unanet
- Calculate invoices for CPFF, T&M, and FFP LOE projects after year-end using actual indirect rates for the closed fiscal year
- Send invoices to the Program Manager for approval and remit them to clients through WAWF, IPP, and subcontractor portals as required
- Establish and maintain business relationships with internal and external customers
- Provide guidance and support to facilitate DCMA closeout requirements
- Generate weekly accounts receivable aging reports in Unanet
- Follow up on payment discrepancies with clients
- Ensure all invoicing and collections comply with the Company's financial policies and procedures
- Follow the contract close-out process to finalize contracts after completion and post-audit
- Assist with the annual financial audit as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of government contract billing experience.
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related discipline (Business, Finance, or Accounting) is desirable
- Proficient in Unanet, WAWF, and IPP
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Experience processing a large volume of invoices
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
