Your Role
Concordia Technologies, a SAS Company, is seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to join our growing team. Concordia’s Hardware design and integration team is made up of multidisciplinary engineers with expertise in software development, hardware design, structural analysis, analytical modeling, systems engineering and integration, and manufacturing. This team is tasked with solving complex problems with new and innovative ideas to bring our customers the best possible solution.
You'll be at the forefront of developing innovative hardware solutions for next-generation spacecraft, aircraft, and robotic systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and problem-solving skills to contribute to innovative projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Electrical architecture and design of custom hardware
- Design and develop PCBs using industry-standard CAD tools such as Altium
- Develop product requirements, component selection, bill of materials (BOMs), analysis, schematic capture, and documentation
- Flight production, development prototyping, vendor selection, and production
- Circuit and full product bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and qualification testing
- Multidisciplinary coordination with software, firmware, mechanical, PCB layout, environments, integration, harnessing, test, manufacturing, and production teams to deliver a fully functional product.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
- Work in person at our corporate headquarters in Huntsville AL
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with relevant work experience in industry
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a related field with experience applying your knowledge to real-world robotic or aerial systems.
- 2 years of experience in PCB design, circuit design, and hardware testing or related experience
- Demonstrates expertise in using professional circuit design software tools like Altium Designer or KiCad. This includes proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, component placement, routing, and simulation.
- Has practical experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits and systems. This includes using measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters), identifying faults, and implementing corrective measures.
- Skilled in debugging electronic designs, which involves isolating and resolving issues that may arise during development or testing
- Possesses hands-on skills in soldering, assembly, and general electronics fabrication
- Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated, completing tasks with minimal supervision. This includes setting priorities, managing time effectively, and making informed decisions.
- Can effectively work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to shared goals and projects. This involves communicating clearly, actively listening, sharing knowledge, and resolving conflicts constructively.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Possesses a foundational understanding of embedded software development principles and practices. This includes knowledge of embedded operating systems and low-level hardware interaction
- Skilled in designing printed circuit boards (PCBs) that can handle high-speed signals. This involves considerations such as signal integrity, crosstalk, and layout techniques
- Familiar with the process of creating PCB prototypes, including design tools, fabrication methods, and assembly techniques
- Experienced in identifying and correcting defects in PCBs, including component replacement, soldering, and troubleshooting
