Job Summary: We are seeking a tutor to provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students, to meet compensatory service time owed. Tutoring will take place at the Lower School after school hours. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review IEP goals and provide instruction related to their goals
• Provide instruction in designated subjects (e.g., Math and ELA).
• Create engaging and effective lesson plans and materials.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Communicate with IEP case manager regarding progress
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

 

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university required
  • Valid Rhode Island Teacher Certificate required 
  • Elementary Education Teacher, Grades 1-6 OR
  • Elementary Special Education Teacher
  • National background check (after offer)
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
