What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Summer School Teachers position at Special Education Department?
From July 1, 2025 - Julky 31, 2025 - Tues/Wed/Thurs, 8.5- 16.0 hours per week.
- Attend orientation meeting before the start of summer school.
- Review and have a working knowledge of each student’s IEP.
- Plan for instruction, and prepare classroom/learning environment.
- Prior summer experience is preferred.
- Must have valid MA DESE Certification for the appropriate level of instruction.
- Must possess working knowledge of Massachusetts and federal special education regulations.
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Good communication skills, excellent writing and grammar skills.
- Current restraint training is preferred.
- Provide direct services to special needs students.
- Record and submit student attendance.
- Complete IEP progress reports and submit to Director after summer programming ends.
Salary : $40
