Position Summary: Installation of foam into doors and help with the maintenance of foam department equipment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily foam production schedule is met.
- Document each job on a log sheet and review the specifications to identify the amount of foam to be installed within the door.
- Enter the foam specifications into the foam machine and oversee the installation of the foam into the door.
- Replace empty containers and order isocyanate and polyol chemicals, when applicable.
- Effectively troubleshoot the foam process including foam formulations, equipment and tooling.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and work in a manner so as not to create a health and safety hazard to oneself and coworkers.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of workplace safety; including safe lifting procedures.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry-out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to measure and perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Forklift license is required.
Primary Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
- Required to occasionally stand and walk.
- Frequently required to push, pull and/or move up to 160 pounds.
- Frequently required to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required Safety Equipment:
- Safety glasses are always required on the production floor.
- Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
