Position Summary: The Interior Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the schedule for our Interiors Department that defines the flow of work and resources within and between departments. This role reviews and distributes production work orders and confers with production leadership to determine the progress of work and completion times.

- Develops and maintains forecasts, master schedule, department schedules and procurement plan based on lead times, seasonality, customer priority and sales opportunities.
- Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedule and coordinates with the logistics team on the internal/external supply of material requirements to ensure for a controlled flow of approved materials to meet on-time delivery requirements.
- Interacts with management and production to develop/maintain capacity planning processes to ensure appropriate resources are available to meet customers? requirements and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Manages and adjusts the production schedule to maximize productivity of the manufacturing operations.
- Participates in production planning meetings to ensure seamless communication between all functional areas.
- Resolves scheduling conflicts and prioritizes customer requirements.
- Expedites customer orders through production processes to ensure targeted on-time delivery.
- Actively communicates with the necessary internal departments on priorities, order completions, shortages, and/or overages.
- Communicates with Benton Harbor Facility and coordinates the movement of labor, materials, and orders between plants.
- Assesses the impact to materials availability and production schedule from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan.
- Supports new product development through cooperative scheduling of model introductions, end-of-life, and prototype processing with potential suppliers.
- Supports Customer Service with warranty, remake, and courtesy orders to ensure customer receives their replacement materials in a timely manner.
- Performs month-end reconciliation of inventory and outstanding orders and resolves all discrepancies.
- Promotes transparency and champions strong multi-directional communication throughout the organization.
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Communicates with customers and initiates 0rder splits based on production capacity and material discrepancies.
Non-Essential Functions:

Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three (3) years of previous production scheduling experience within a manufacturing setting is required; or, a Bachelor?s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience is required.
- Previous experience working in production floor operations is helpful.
- Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of assigned work.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of production forecasting.
- Strong project management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems, resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation while dealing with a variety of changing and stressful situations.
- Ability to analyze, gather, and present data to a broad audience.
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms.
- Ability to develop and nurture strong, productive relationships with all levels within the organization, respecting established processes and fostering an environment of mutual respect.
- Detailed understanding of ERP software, robust MS Excel skills and experience with other MS Office applications.
