Position Summary: The Production Supervisor, Exteriors is responsible for all daily activities associated with assigned production teams. This position strives to develop high performing work teams and positive employee relations, while focusing on and meeting the Company values and customer demands. The Production Supervisor has responsibility for all aspects of production including safety, quality, customer satisfaction, labor optimization and daily production output within the assigned teams.

Essential Functions - Leadership:
- Maintains positive employee relations within the department, ensuring practices are fair and consistent; leads and models a positive employee culture.
- Coaches and provides feedback to Team Leaders & Associate Team Leaders
- One-on-One reviews with direct reports to ensure performance alignment
- Write ups and progressive disciplinary conversations as required per policy
- Career conversations w/ employees – internal skill progressions
- Develops annual performance reviews with Team Leaders for all reporting hourly employees
- Develops, tracks and facilitates employee onboarding, training and cross-training; Owns the training matrix for reporting teams
- Participates in weekly Whiteboard meetings for assigned departments
- Reports out team metrics during morning PCC meetings
- Work with Human Resource department to identify and fill vacancies:
- Conduct interviews & provide hire recommendations to HR
- Creates onboard plan for new hires
- Collaborates with Plant Manager to develop and maintain capacity model to meet company Sales and Production goals.
- Identifies, researches and recommends capital purchases to improve efficiency, throughput or quality for assigned departments. Works with Engineering team to purchase and implement
- Leads and facilitates conversations and actions related to Employee Engagement Surveys. Responsible for follow up and completion for assigned teams.
Essential Functions - Production:
- Primary coordinator between assigned departments and other functions within the company
- Accountable for production output, quality and on-time delivery throughout the department:
- Ownership of Late Order reporting, communicating and recovery plan; Job expeditor
- Ownership of NAO metric; Leads continuous improvement meetings and responsible for solution execution
- Ownership of Rework metric; Leads continuous improvement meetings and responsible for solution execution
- Sets weekly overtime requirements and supports team during the mandatory hours required
- Excellent ability to communicate priorities, changes and teamwork through multiple media outlets
- Ownership of EHS adherence to company policy and departmental improvements
- Monitors, reports on, and develops countermeasures when needed in respect to our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Leads the lean process and champions continuous improvement efforts in the department through collaborative effort. This includes Cost Out targets.
- Leads production integration of new products and product changes (ECO, SISS, etc)
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required. Undergraduate or higher education desired
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in production management
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of assigned work.
- Experience working with, and the ability to read measuring devices such as a ruler and measuring tape is required.
- Understanding of Manufacturing procedures and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry-out instructions in written, oral and diagram form.
- Excellent decision making, and problem-solving.
- Ability to develop and nurture strong, productive relationships in all levels of the organization.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, prioritizes well, shows energy, responds to opportunities, instills urgency in others, and meets deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate equipment, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
