Position Summary: The Team Leader, Nights is a working supervisor who provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to the employees within their assigned department. This position is accountable for the safety, quality, customer satisfaction and daily production output within the department.

Essential Functions - Leadership:
- Coaches and provides feedback to employees:
- One-on-One reviews with all hourly employees in department
- Write ups and progressive disciplinary conversations as required per policy
- Career conversations w/ employees; internal skill progressions
- Develops annual performance reviews with Production Manager for all reporting hourly employees
- Maintains positive employee relations within the department, ensuring practices are fair and consistent; leads and models a positive employee culture.
- Runs weekly Whiteboard meetings
- Maintains a neat, orderly, and organized work area at all times
- Work with Human Resource department to fill vacancies:
- Conduct interviews & provide hire recommendations to Production Manager
- Assists Production Manager to create an onboard plan for new hires in department; position & training
- Monitors and approves vacation requests; makes labor adjustments to cover production needs
Essential Functions - Production:
- Accountable for production output, quality and on-time delivery throughout the department:
- Schedules overtime to meet production needs; supports team during the mandatory hours required
- Updates Late Orders tracker online
- Reviews Customer Complaints in system; help customer service resolve issues; shares with production team for lessons learned / continuous improvement
- Conduct “Call & Respond” audits for QCP/Expedited/Warranty/New Hire work
- Fill out and submit Rework Sheets
- Fill out Rework Request Forms for material missing or need replacement
- Calculate daily roll over and turn into scheduling
- Ensures that the necessary products and materials are in the department to build a quality product and meet production deadlines.
- Calls attention to and weighs in on material decisions involving color, fit or other assembly issues
- Monitors inventory levels of department located stock material like clips, reinforcements, tooling, 6” fillers, etc..
- Ensures safety procedures are followed and recommends improvements.
- Assigns/allocates work based upon the strengths and abilities of the employees within the department.
- Assigns and reassigns labor to address absences or efficiency issues within the team
- Produce daily production schedules; ensure folders are distributed
- Examines blueprints/engineering drawings to determine material requirements and task sequences; collaborates with Detailing on questions and/or blueprint discrepancies.
- Monitors, reports on, and assists in developing countermeasures in respect to our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Update physical and electronic PCC Charts for Safety, Production, Reworks & NAO
- Actively engages in continuous improvement efforts in the department through collaborative effort.
- Leads or participates in meetings regarding reworks, Not As Ordered (customer complaints) and other continuous improvement projects
- Helps integrate new products and product changes into production (ECO, SISS, etc)

Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is required.
- Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of assigned work.
- Experience working with, and the ability to read measuring devices such as a ruler and measuring tape is required.
- Understanding of Manufacturing procedures and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry-out instructions in written, oral and diagram form.
- Excellent decision making, and problem-solving.
- Ability to develop and nurture strong, productive relationships in all levels of the organization.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, prioritizes well, shows energy, responds to opportunities, instills urgency in others, and meets deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate equipment, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and crawl.
- Frequently required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50-pounds.

Work Environment:
- Safety glasses and steel toe shoes are required on the production floor at all times.
- Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
- Frequently subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electric current and exposure to heat and chemicals.
- Occasionally subject to conditions including one or more of the following that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, or poor ventilation.
- Occasionally exposed to cold, hot, wet and/or humid shop conditions.
