Position Summary: The role of our Delivery Team Leaders is to safely operate our delivery vehicles while leading a small team to deliver, setup, takedown and pickup our event rental inventory. You will provide positive interactions with our customers and gain knowledge of our inventory and processes.
Responsibilities Include:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures while performing the various tasks of a Delivery Team Leader
- Report to work on all days that you are scheduled for, on time and ready to work
- Maintain a positive and optimistic attitude and energetic work ethic
- Attend all meetings as requested by management
- Check your truck prior to leaving to ensure proper equipment is loaded, safely and securely
- Perform vehicle inspections as required by company policies
- Maintain accurate records and counts of all inventory on deliveries and pickups
- Communicate with clients about their order, the equipment on it, and the expectations for them and our team
- Clean up job sites, vehicles and the delivery areas
- Learn and execute material handling best practices and installation/removal procedures for the various pieces of equipment that are on the orders you deliver
- Learn and execute safe installation/removal procedures for all tents in our inventory
- Demonstrate safe driving practices that are representative of our brand when
- Understand and retain knowledge of Special Occasions' vehicles, rental equipment, recordkeeping systems and processes
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned that contribute to the success of the team and the company
Working Conditions:
- Most work will be off site of our warehouse and require you to take breaks in the field
- Working outside a large portion of the time in all weather conditions
- Driving and riding in box trucks, pickup trucks and other company vehicles
- Some work will be performed loading and unloading our trucks at our warehouse and yard
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Other languages are a plus
- Valid State Driver's License - Commercial Driver's License is not required
- Clean driving record and background to operate our vehicles
- Must have basic math and counting skills
- Willingness to learn, lead and work in a labor intensive environment
- Flexible scheduling, including some nights and weekends
- Great customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to learn, follow and retain instructions
