Position Title: Technical Assistance Manager

Department: Special Olympics North America, Unified Champion Schools

Report to: Director, Technical Assistance

Location: Michigan, Kansas, Ohio, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, Colorado, Utah, Washington and California (Remote)

Date and Length of Role: Full-time, Permanent

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range for US Based Staff: $55,463 - $65,250

Position Summary:

Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools is an education-based strategy for schools’ Pre-K through university that intentionally promotes social inclusion by bringing together students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities to create accepting school environments. The Technical Assistance Manager is a key member of the Program Development and Innovation (PDI) pillar on the SONA Unified Champion Schools team. They will work closely with U.S. Programs and SONA to ensure the sustainable growth and quality implementation of Unified Champion Schools in the U.S.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as main point of contact to U.S. Programs
  • Lead the development of individualized Program support plans and assist Programs in the progress of reaching annual goals and overall priorities
  • Establish effective communication strategies that promote positive and productive relationships with Program and SONA staff
  • Lead and participate in webinars, trainings, and meetings that promote and advance UCS content and outcomes
  • Provide Programs with resources and collaborative networks that advance their goals and priorities.
  • Track, review, and analyze UCS and Census data to help determine trends, gaps, and innovative strategies.
  • Assist with and help manage the migration and accuracy of data to customer relationship management (CRM) platform
  • Create timely trend report summaries for SONA UCS and SONA leadership team
  • Review and assess annual application and grant management materials
  • Review and assess applications for subaward recommendations
  • Monitor monthly, midterm, and final reporting to ensure requirements are met
  • Represent pillar for the development and updates on Program facing platforms

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years related experience with Special Olympics or providing consultation services with a similar organization
  • Proven success and experience in project management and consultation
  • Ability to manage, summarize, and integrate data from multiple sources
  • Effective interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheets
  • Ability and desire to work effectively with individuals from a range of cultural and professional backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently, in project teams and in remote work environments
  • Ability and interest in travel for events, meetings, and site visits (about 6 trips annually)
  • Must represent the organization in professional manner
  • Interest in disability, inclusion, and education
