Special Projects Operations (SPO) is searching for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the shipping and receiving of materials, tooling, supplies and products. Responsibilities include:
Job Purpose
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the shipping and receiving of materials, tooling, supplies and products.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately tracks and records incoming and/or outgoing shipments
- Incoming receipt of materials to assure compliance with bill of lading, packing slip, and purchase order.
- Inspection of materials received to assure critical characteristics are in conformance with drawings and specifications.
- Store received items in warehouse assuring organization and location for easy access
- Control of disbursements of materials per work order requirements
- Pickup and delivery of materials to shop floor as required
- Packaging and shipment of product and materials
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Prepares required documentation as required
- Ensures products are labeled correctly
- Coordinates best cost shipping method with Procurement Specialist
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma required; college or technical training desired
- Thorough understanding and hands on logistics experience required
- Demonstrated and verifiable experience in operation of forklift and pallet racking
- Training and experience with incoming inspection per prints and specifications
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty and reliability
Working conditions
Generally working indoors on day shift M-F but may include overtime, outdoor, night and weekend work as required.
Physical requirements
Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds. Bending, walking, and working in all positions is required. Work on concrete floor in conditioned or unconditioned environment on extended schedule when necessary. May require use of head, eye, hand, and/or respiratory protection.
