As an assistant principal for one of SSD’s schools, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success of our students, ensuring a safe and positive school culture, and supporting the professional development of staff. Assistant principals work closely with the principal to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school and ensure teachers and staff have the resources they need to prepare and inspire students to excel to their greatest potential.
Assistant principals are generously compensated and receive benefits, including insurance, paid time off and holidays, access to staff health clinics, and more. They work Monday through Friday during school hours, with occasional evening or weekend hours for school-related events, and are 12-month staff.

Qualifications
- Master’s in special education or education field required
- 5 years working with students with special needs preferred
- Principal certification k-12 or school leader k-12 required
- Special education teacher certification preferred
- Special education administration certification preferred
