Job Title: Behavior Interventionist (RBHS)
Supervisor: Principal and/ or Executive Director of Special Services
Contract Days: 195 days
Job Summary: To provide a service delivery program for children with a focus on behavior assessment, intervention, and staff development in an effort to best meet students' needs, district goals, and school objectives.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other related Behavioral
- Health field from an accredited institution of higher learning required
- Licensed eligible Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Doctoral Psychologist preferred
- Minimum of 3 years working in field of social work and/or clinical counseling with children and adolescents
- Good human relations skills
- Knowledge of state and federal law pertaining to special education
- Such alternatives to the above as the District /Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Essential Duties:
Oversee daily activities of RBI-IS Behavioral Interventionists and sign off on all Medicaid related documentation.
- Collaborate with school personnel and family members to develop an individual Plan of Care to include therapeutic services for specific students
- Provide assessments, behavioral intervention and individual, family and group therapy to identified students
- Conduct home visits for the purpose of service coordination and therapy appointments. Participate in and provide and all information for Individualized Education Plan meetings, Family Treatment Plan Meetings, Behavioral Manifestation Hearings, DJJ Hearings and all other students specific meetings as deemed necessary by the client, their guardian or school personnel
- Complete all necessary RBHS paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Participate in identified in-service trainings
- Participate in all individual and group supervision sessions provided by the RBHS Coordinator
- Properly maintain all clinical records as outlined by the Department of Health and Human Services standards
- Respond to school administration concerns/questions about services to students enrolled in RHBS at their school
- Maintain CPI Certification status
- Submits Medicaid documentation for reimbursement
- Performs other related duties as assigned
