What are the responsibilities and job description for the ESY - Extended School Year 2025 Combined Elementary and Secondary position at Special Services?

In order to begin the process of joining the Council Rock School District for Extended School Year (ESY) Elementary and Secondary positions, you must complete this application. After you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed, and you will receive notification of the next steps in our process. This initial application is the first step in our process.

- ESY session (July 7, 2025 to August 7, 2025).
- Not all applicants are guaranteed an ESY position offer.
- Specific positions cannot be guaranteed.

Elementary
Location: Richboro Elementary School
Hours: 8:30 - 3:00, 1/2 day: 8:30 - 12:00

Autistic Support - 3 days (T, W, TH)
Autistic Support - 4 days (M - TH)
Emotional Support Elementary - 3 half days (T, W, TH AM)
Intensive Learning Support - 4 days (M - TH)
Learning Support - 3 half days (T, W, TH AM)
Life Skills Elementary - 4 days (M - TH)
Multiple Disabilities - 4 days (M - TH)
Secondary
Location: Council Rock High School North School or STAR Center (based on program)
Hours: 7:30am - 2:00pm, 1/2 day: 7:30am - 11:00am
Secondary Position Options:
ACHIEVE Secondary - 4 days (M - TH)
Autistic Support - 3 days (T, W, TH)
Autistic Support - 4 days (M - TH)
Emotional Support Secondary - 2 half days (T, TH AM)
Intensive Learning Support Secondary- 4 days (M - TH)
Learning Support - 3 half days (T, W, TH AM)
Life Skills - 4 days (M - TH)
Multiple Disabilities - 4 days (M - TH)
Requirement for Teachers: You must be hold a PA Certificate in Special Education.
Requirements for Teacher Assistants:
- Previous Teacher Assistant Experience in Elementary School setting preferred
- Ability to collect data, work with team of educators, and carry out academic support plans
- Qualified candidates must meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education Special Education Regulations Chapter 14 Regulations. (https://www.pacode.com/secure/data/022/chapter14/s14.105.html)

- Have completed at least two years of post-secondary study,
- Possess an associate's degree of high,or

REQUIRED PAPERWORK: In order to begin employment in any PA public school, all employees are required to complete mandatory paperwork. Background employment clearances must be completed within the last year to be valid and include:
- PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
- Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Fingerprints (Act 114) IndentoGo
Some additional paperwork includes Arrest/Conviction Report form, PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), physician’s health form and recently completed TB test.
