What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Special Services?
The Neosho School District is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist. Neosho is a progressive school district conveniently located just south of Joplin. Our district puts a strong emphasis on building relationships with students, parents and other professionals. Applicants must hold, or be eligible for the Missouri Board of Healing Arts certification in the area of Speech-Language Pathology and/or their ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. Applicants in their Clinical Fellowships year may also apply as supervision is available. The SLP will be expected to possess good people skills, flexibility, the ability to work under pressure, to stay on task, be responsible, be reliable and have the ability to adjust to change. Other job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Schedule and conduct therapy for students
- Plan and carry out the IEP as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Consult with students, parents and professionals concerning progress
- Document student progress
- Conduct evaluations, interpret data and write evaluation reports
- Attend and/or conduct eligibility review and IEP meetings
- Write, develop and modify IEPs
