We are looking for a full-time, dedicated Laundry Aide to help Special Tree provide Fabulous Every Day Care. Every Day.
The Company:
Special Tree's state-of-the-art NeuroCare Campus is located on four-wooded acres in a quiet suburban community in Romulus, MI and was designed specifically to meet the needs of those with brain injury and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
The Role:
- Collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds, stores, and replenishes facility-provided personal care laundry as required.
- Collects, sorts, washes, dries, and returns client personal clothing as appropriate and required.
- Provides services in accordance with regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures, including infection control policies and procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of clients and co-workers.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic laundry practices.
- Strong ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for job duties described above.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to lift, move and carry objects repeatedly over 20 lbs, and less frequently over 50 lbs.
- Work cooperatively with other Special Tree employees, clients and families.
