Celebrating 50 years, Special Tree is a pioneer in neuro-rehabilitation, the first of its kind in Michigan.Why Join Us?As we work to provide care and treatment for others, we also work to provide for our teams professional and personal growth and well-being.The Role : The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), as a member of an interdisciplinary care team, assists with appropriate therapeutic intervention under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to maximize the clients physical functioning.Work Schedule : Monday to Friday9 : 00 am- 5 : 00 pmResponsibilities : Provides fabulous every day care, every day to clients and other customers.Implements portions of a clients Physical Therapy program including modalities, gait training, therapeutic exercise and transfer training after the treatment program is established by the Physical Therapist.Modifies treatment programs as needed and progresses clients as tolerated based on observation and in consultation with the Physical Therapist.Assists the Physical Therapist directly in administering tests and assessment procedures.Observes and documents the clients responses to treatment.Provides client, family, and staff education and training as needed and documents appropriately.Qualifications : An Associates degree in Physical Therapy is required.Valid Michigan drivers license.Demonstrates good moral character.CPR certified.Prefer 1 year experience with variety of clients.Must be of good moral character.Knowledge of Physical Therapy treatments and assistive techniques.Benefits / Perks : Outstanding health and retirement benefitsGenerous paid time off planPay : (Compensation is a commensurate with experience and education) %{{advertiserId}}% %%{{category}}%%
