Quality Control Inspector
Specialist Network Operations LLC are seeking a QA/QC Inspector to conduct onsite field inspections of all aspects of the construction process in the building of a fibre optic network within the cities of Kenosha, Rockford and Farmington.
The position entails checking the quality of work carried out against a set of quality standards laid out by the project owners.
This consists of daily onsite inspections and the completion of daily and weekly reports. Duties also include day walking around the construction areas whilst carrying out checks.
Working from home predominately overseeing the construction online in picture format and site visits with the sole purpose to drive quality.
Should you have experience in installing Vaults (Handholes), micro trenching, duct installation, ground reinstatement, traffic management, fibre optic installation, copper communications installations, etc., this position might be suitable to you. Full training in all the QA requirements will be provided.
Required Skills and Experience
· Working knowledge of Quality Assurance
· Awareness of community relations
· Team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision
· Must be able to communicate well with Project Management Team, Contractors and the Ground Crew
· Fluent in English language essential – oral communication skills and documented reporting
· Computer literate to use various applications
· Ability to read and understand set instructions and specifications
· High attention to detail
· OSHA Certification an advantage but not essential
· All training will be provided for the individual to complete their daily tasks.
Job Tasks
· Inspect/observe operations and document against Quality Standards
· Conducting QA Inspections on micro-trenching construction operations
· Inspecting training records against company requirements
· Oversee installations, ducting and microtrenching.
· Inspect/observe operations and document against Quality Standards
· Communicate the results of inspections to the QA Field Director
· Reporting to QA Field Director and Team Leader
On the job and online training will be provided
· SALARY: $58,000-$63,000pa depending on experience
(approximately hourly rate $27.88 -$30.28. This position is exempt and not eligible for overtime )
