Endoscopy Technician – GI
Silver Spring, MD
Pay From: $22 Per Hour
Must:
The Endoscopy Tech should have the following:
2 years of experience as an endoscopy Tech
Reprocessing scopes
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment
Readying equipment for procedures
Assisting providers during procedures
Hooking up patients to monitors and documenting initial readings
Cleaning and setting up rooms for each procedure
Utilizing endoscopy equipment
Maintaining equipment and supplies
Maintaining records of equipment
DUTIES:
The Duties of the Endoscopy Tech include but are not limited to the following:
Room patients
Hook the patient up to the monitors
Document initial readings
Assist with procedures
Cleans and disinfect
Set up rooms
Transfer specimens to pathology pick-up
Provide post procedure instructions to patients
Clean and sanitize equipment and instruments
Assist in recovery
Provide instructions to patients
Brush and rinse scope after procedures
Leak test scope after every procedure
Utilize the Endoscopy reprocessors and Ultrasonic
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
Operate all Endoscopy equipment in the Center
Troubleshoot equipment
Maintain records on all equipment
Assist with general clean up, trash, linen and bio-hazardous waste collection at the end of the day
Perform other duties as requested
