Pain Blocks RN
Job Description:
· Acts as a prep nurse and discharge nurse for patients receiving pain blocks
· IV insertion in preparation for the procedure
· Discharge teaching
· Maintains a safe environment for the patient
· Pre-op and post-op patient phone calls
· Works as a team player with procedural MD’s, nurses, radiation technologists, and other ancillary staff
· Safely utilizes variety of procedural equipment
· Performs conscious sedation under MD direction and patient monitoring during procedures
· Other duties as assigned
· Experience preferred, but not mandatory
· Current RN license required
· Current BLS certification required
