Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our periodontal team three days a week, possibly expanding to five days per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing periodontal maintenances, scaling and root planing and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental anatomy and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

- Perform thorough periodontal maintenances, including scaling and root planing.
- Conduct assessments and provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Assist in maintaining patient records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional patient care and enhance treatment outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION :
Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school.
EXPERIENCE / DESIRED SET OF SKILLS :
Perform periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing procedures.Conduct comprehensive oral assessments and evaluate medical histories.Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.Conduct thorough dental assessments and oral cancer screenings periodontal disease, occlusal trauma, oral pathology and caries.Assist dentists and other team members in various dental procedures (Hygiene Assisted Surgery).Maintain accurate patient records.Communicate patient care with referral practices (periodontal therapy reports).Uphold infection control and sterilization OSHA protocols.COMPETENCIES :
