Specialized Engineering has an immediate opening for an Engineer Technician III to join our team!
Since 1992, Specialized Engineering has provided engineering consulting and inspection services for projects in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Primary responsibilities include: Material testing and inspection, documenting field inspection reports daily; in addition to performing duties as a quality assurance inspectoron construction sites and heavy highway. Some overnight and / or weekend work may be required with this position.
Successful candidates will:
-Be able to qualify as a WVDOH Certified TRET II or WVDOH Certified TRET III
-Experience with WVDOH materials certifications or VDOT / ACI / MARTCP certifications.
-Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate (nice to have).
Or
- graduation from an Accredited School with a degree in Engineering (EIT).
- possess outstanding attention to detail
- exhibit strong oral and written communication skills
- be required to read, understand, follow directions and accurately document collected data
- be able to lift 40-60 lbs.
- have a valid driver’s license and reliable, independent transportation
Hired candidates will be required to pass various industry-related exams for certification.
