Pay range at $39.76 is the Journey level rate. We do have a lower rate structure(apprenticeship) for non Journey level but with some auto / truck mechanic repair or service experience.

In our time of growth, we are seeking dedicated and talented individuals to add to our team in Tualatin, OR . We are currently looking to add a Fleet Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to our SPM team.
Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform repairs on construction heavy equipment (i.e. sweepers, milling machines, road striping equipment, propane and diesel fired heaters, etc.)
Job Responsibilities / Duties :
- Repairs and maintains construction equipment of various types and sizes from light-duty to heavy-duty operating equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions as they arise
- Perform preventative maintenance following operations manuals as well as electrical and hydraulic diagrams / A / C units
- Remove and replace defective parts using hand and power tools
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance when used
- Fabricate, weld and cut parts, using arc-welding / wire feed and flame cutting equipment
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Ability to work safely and follow established Company Safety Policies
- Perform DOT Inspections
- Perform related and other duties as requested

Working Conditions outdoors; some local traveling. Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials such as solvents, adhesives, paints, hot oil and other chemicals.8hr work days / 40hr work weeks (as needed-can include nights / weekends).
