IT Infrastructure Administrator

The Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Administrator to join our client. This role is 100% onsite near Indian Land, SC and does not offer remote work opportunities.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Enterprise Infrastructure Manager, the IT Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of enterprise-level server and networking systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Server administration and Cisco network infrastructure, with a proactive approach to problem-solving, security, and system performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Administration (Microsoft Environment)
- Administer and maintain Windows Server OS (2016 ), Active Directory, Group Policies, and Office 365.
- Manage server performance, security updates, patching, and system backups.
- Oversee DNS, DHCP, RAID configurations, and file system security.
- Implement disaster recovery solutions and documentation for enterprise IT infrastructure.
Network Administration (Cisco Environment)
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points (WAPs), and firewall appliances.
- Perform LAN/WAN administration, network monitoring, and advanced IP configurations.
- Optimize network performance, ensuring security compliance and best-in-class security protocols.
Virtualization & Cloud Technologies
- Maintain and administer VMware 8 or other virtualization platforms.
- Support cloud-hosted systems, working with Azure, AWS, and Office 365 integrations.
- Assist with hybrid cloud implementations and authentication measures (SSO, IAM).
Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage enterprise-level endpoint security, anti-virus solutions, and next-generation security tools.
- Regularly audit on-premises and cloud-hosted access privileges.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and disaster recovery best practices.
IT Operations & Infrastructure Projects
- Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot server and networking hardware/software.
- Collaborate with IT teams, helpdesk staff, and department stakeholders on system upgrades and future IT needs.
- Automate repetitive systems and network administration functions to improve efficiency and security.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
π Associate degree in Computer Science (BS preferred) or equivalent technical certification.
πΌ 3-5 years of proven hands-on experience in System and Network Administration.
Technical Expertise (Required):
β Microsoft Server Administration: Windows Server 2016 , Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, O365, Exchange.
β Cisco Network Administration: LAN/WAN, Routing & Switching, Cisco VPN (AnyConnect), Firewalls, Wireless APs.
β Virtualization & Cloud: VMware, Azure/AWS administration, cloud-based networking integration.
β Security & Compliance: Enterprise endpoint security, system hardening, IAM/SSO authentication strategies.
β Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Hands-on experience diagnosing server, network, and security issues in real-time environments.
Preferred Skills & Certifications (Nice to Have):
- Microsoft Certifications: MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate
- Networking Certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network
- Virtualization Certifications: VMware Certified Professional
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
