Industrial Operations Supervisor

As a Surface Supervisor, you will be an integral part of our operations management team, providing leadership and supervision to ensure safe and efficient production and shipping of our products. You will empower employees, maintain positive relations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and ownership.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of operators, laborers, and contract employees.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain environmental compliance and quality standards.
• Schedule production to meet requirements, focusing on safety, compliance, quality, and efficiency.
• Manage materials, parts, and supplies for operations.
• Track employee timekeeping and job performance.
• Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and discipline of employees.
• Coordinate with other departments and staff in a team environment.
• Lead or assist with projects from design through implementation.
• Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of equipment.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 years of proven leadership and supervision experience in heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with heavy and light mobile equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a good customer service attitude.
• Proficiency with email and business applications such as Word and Excel.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and any shift as needed.
• Ability to lift between 50 - 100 pounds and climb stairs and ladders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent job experience.
• Safety training certification.
• Experience in the salt or mining industry.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintenance knowledge and hands-on expertise.
• Experience with CMMS, purchasing software, and computerized timekeeping software.
• Strong project coordination and planning skills.

Special Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Capable of providing hands-on assistance in all aspects of facility operations.
• Must be able to work productively in a group environment.
• Must be able to work additional hours as required.
• Must lift 50 to 100 pounds, wear PPE, and navigate various environments.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
