What are the responsibilities and job description for the Programs Manager position at Specialized Treatment Education and Prevention...?
This is a professional position which will require planning, organizing, maintaining and administrating a mental health social service treatment program(s).
1. Works with the Chief Clinical Officer to ensure treatment compliance with contracts and program objectives.
2. Maintains positive public relations with the businesses and government to ensure a high quality of service delivery.
3. Is expected to maintain a positive attitude and promote good morale among supervisors and staff.
4. Provide clinical training to clinical staff and interns.
5. Identify programs and services needed by the community, and develop program assessment protocols.
6. Will conduct review and approval of clinical documentation on an as needed basis consistent with program policy and the 65D-30, F.A.C.
7. Conducts quality assurance chart reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
8. Assures that all work done by supervisees is accurate, punctual and professionally sound.
9. Plan and manage activities to increase awareness of programs.
10. Work with community members, stakeholders, and partners to achieve goals
A thorough knowledge of substance abuse and mental health counseling techniques.
Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral assessments and interventions relevant to medical conditions, e.g., disease management; treatment adherence; and lifestyle change.
Thorough knowledge of Individualized Treatment Planning goals and objectives.
Thorough knowledge of individual counseling techniques.
Experience working in crisis setting with individuals and families.
Ability to be at ease to connect with people and constructively discuss their problems and issues.
Skill in targeted, brief psychotherapy and in running group sessions.
Knowledge of basic physiology, psychopharmacology and medical terminology.
An ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary.
Must be willing to tavel between programs daily.
