Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct patient care and support during therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and home exercises.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication.
Qualifications
- Must be a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with an active state license.
- Experience in acute care, inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, geriatrics, or home health settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable.
