What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commission Sales Associate position at Specialty Appliance?
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm, (Occasional weeknights later than 5:30pm for work events)
Salary: Will receive base plus commissions and spiffs
Job Summary
Sell appliances to retail customers, home builders, designers, realtors. You will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the best appliances to meet their needs, providing product knowledge, and closing sales. You will earn training pay with commission then transition to lucrative full commissions with no upper pay limit while enjoying a supportive and collaborative work environment.
General Accountabilities
- Meet with customers in the showroom and determine the needed/wanted appliances customer is seeking by qualifying (type, size, color, brand, etc.).
- Suggests appliances selections based on customer’s needs/wants with detailed knowledge of appliance features and benefits.
- Prepare sales quotes and orders for customer selections.
- Communicate and work with other departments well (Purchasing, Dispatch, Customer Service, Install, Accounting – as well as the other store locations).
- Assists with customer pick-ups at the warehouses
- Assists with inventory of stock in the showroom annually.
- Utilizes vendor portals and vendor contacts to check availability of appliances prior to the sale and during the sale to accurately schedule installation.
- Utilize vendor price lists and sales tax database to ensure the customer receives an accurate and complete quote.
- Supply customer with complete spec packet for the appliances selected.
- Processes orders, returns, installation requests, and customer service tickets.
- Represents Specialty Appliances at various events, conferences, and trainings.
- Research and contact potential builders and designers to build relationships with constant portfolio business.
- Submits bids for larger commercial/multi-family projects, send all contracts, company set-up, insurance, and warranty documents requested to the office manager for review.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
