MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Previous experience in a staff accountant or financial analyst role preferred, with the potential and willingness to grow into a more senior role.
- Prior public accounting or internal auditing experience is a plus.
- Experience with NetSuite preferred. Experience with any large ERP and/or Lab Management systems a plus
- Prior experience with a multilocation P&L and balance sheet preferred.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Advanced Excel experience with tools like vlookups and other functions, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc. preferred.
- Able to extract and assemble data using various reporting software tools.
- Ability to maintain and process full cycle accounting duties.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and data entry skills.
Requirements
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS/JOB DUTIES
- Accurately record journal entries and maintain audit ready supporting detail.
- Perform account reconciliations, including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and other accruals.
- Perform Accounts Payable functions and assist with Accounts Receivable as needed.
- Support vendor and customer inquiries related to accounting transactions.
- Demonstrate and apply proficiency with accounting policies and procedures in daily work.
- Proven ability to code transactions accurately according to established procedures.
- Record asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation as needed.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce financial statements and analysis as needed.
- Remit and file applicable sales taxes and property taxes correctly and on-time.
- Identify areas for process improvements and maintain strong internal controls.
- Support the annual financial audit and budgeting processes.
- Perform special and ad hoc projects as necessary.
- Safeguard and protect confidentiality of company and patient information as defined by the company’s Confidentiality Agreement.
- Understand how one’s performance can impact the success of the organization.
