We are currently looking for a Material handler to join our VALUES based organization. In this role you will focus on:
Essential Functions
- Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in the designated location in the warehouse.
- Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
- Report any problems such as shortages or damaged material, etc.
- Inquire with sales team member when orders cannot be shipped as ordered and make changes as directed by sales.
- Use handheld scanner when receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Coordinator on questions and updates.
- Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
- Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
- Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.
- Fill orders for incoming customers.
- Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning warehouses/yard.
- Inspect the forklift prior to daily operation to avoid equipment problems and malfunctions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Cross train and back-up others in warehouse.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a cross-functional team environment.
- Working knowledge and techniques associated with organizing and setting priorities.

- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years warehouse experience required with some experience in a distributorship preferred.
- Neat and clean appearance.
- Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
