What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Project Supervisor position at Specialty Building Products?
Our Sales Project Supervisor is responsible for providing accurate and timely response to all project pricing requests from customers, TSM’s and inside sales. They work closely with our TSMs and dealer accounts, taking the lead in providing education, direction and services to help them handle project work. They also provide overall project management of business awarded, and provide direction to the Project Estimator and assist in quoting, proof reading orders, arranging for logistics of product delivery and fielding/solving customer concerns.
Work in conjunction with customer base and TSM’s, soliciting opportunities with our dealer base for large project work
Daily track purchase orders and communicate any purchasing needs, or problems in advance to the purchasing department
Confer with vendors by telephone, fax or email in order to acquire pricing on volume or special orders
Keep records of both customer and vendor interactions and transactions, monitoring quotes to ensure expeditious and accurate pricing
Provide training and direction to the Project-Estimators
Qualifications – A Qualified Candidate Will Have
Bachelor’s degree preferred
4 years building materials quoting or outside sales experience required, specifically in the door and millwork segment.
Knowledge of large building project processes and/or commercial project experience is considered a plus
General computer knowledge required, including use of Internet, email, MS Office, Excel
Ability to study company catalog as well as vendor catalogs to assist in product knowledge
Ability to understand both company sales goals and initiatives
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
