We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the technology efforts in our rapidly growing small business lending company based in New York City. This role offers significant growth potential and will be responsible for overseeing software development, vendor management, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with our funding business goals
Set clear objectives for our SaaS vendor and ensure they align with overall company strategy
Recruit, mentor, and develop technology talent as needed for a strong, innovative team
Development
Oversee the design and implementation of lending technology solutions with our SaaS vendor
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess technology requirements for new products and services
Develop and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
Implement user interface designs and ensure a seamless user experience
Integrate applications with backend services and APIs
Ensure the effective deployment and configuration of lending platforms and tools
Implement AI automations
PHP, AWS, SQL Server, Swift, Java / Kotlin, React and ETL Reporting experience is preferred
This is a hands on role
Cybersecurity Management
Develop and implement robust security strategies to protect our lending infrastructure and customer data
Oversee security operations, including monitoring systems and incident response
Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes in cybersecurity for the financial sector
Endpoint Support
Manage the endpoint support to ensure efficient IT operations across the organization
Implement and maintain IT infrastructure to support our lending operations
Project and Budget Management
Oversee technology project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery within budget
Manage the technology department budget effectively, allocating resources for key initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is a plus
5-10 years of experience in technology roles in the financial services or lending industry
Strong background in software development, cybersecurity, and IT operations
Experience with financial technology platforms is required, lending experience is preferred
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services industry
CISSP or other cyber security certifications are a plus
