Job description
We are looking for someone with an exceptional attitude and great organizational skills. We need someone that will go above and beyond with exceptional work ethic. Candidate needs to be willing to work at different locations in the Treasure Valley.
- Essential Job Functions:
- Answers phones in a professional manner, directs calls, makes appointments and assists with billing inquiries.
- Provides callers and patients with information such as company addresses, directions to the company locations, fax number website and other related information.
- Obtains basic demographic information of patient and enters data into accurately into the EMR, verifies insurance information or informs patient, asks about chief complaint.
- Explains to patient payment options; reminds patient that payment is due at the time of service. Collection of balances and/or copays on patient accounts at the time of service.
- Reminds patient of appointment date, time, clinic location and provider name.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information; complies with HIPAA privacy and security protocols; Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- accurately enters procedures, insurance payments and patient payments into the computer system balancing at the end of the day.
Experience
- 1 or more years customer service experience required; previous medical office experience required.
- Ability to efficiently assist patients while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Attention to detail and strong organization skills, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining professional telephone etiquette and a courteous demeanor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
