Summary:
The Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of structural concrete repair, strengthening, and waterproofing scopes of work. Responsibilities/Expectations
- Exercise leadership in overseeing and managing all facets of custom concrete construction projects, from initial planning to final execution.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, outlining tasks, milestones, and resources needed.
- Collaborate effectively with superintendent, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to align project objectives and ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage and motivate teams of concrete workers, assigning tasks, providing on-the-job training, and fostering a culture of safety and productivity.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying potential challenges and implementing corrective actions to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and specifications, conducting regular inspections to verify compliance and address any deviations.
- Collaborate with the project management team in resource allocation, equipment management, and materials procurement to optimize project efficiency.
- Manage project budgets effectively, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising project quality.
- Foster a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and conducting regular safety briefings.
- Ensure daily execution of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) with participation & buy in from workers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in concrete construction to continuously enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in the custom concrete industry.
- In-depth understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams of workers effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaborative relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing project requirements and priorities.
