Job Duties:
- Collaborate with the Office Manager to oversee and prioritize workflow for dental assistants.
- Manage daily clinical operations, ensuring efficient patient flow with Doctors, assistants, and other personnel.
- Train and support new hires, including Technicians, RDAs, and Doctors.
- Oversee dental supply ordering, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with the Compliance Specialist on OSHA, HIPAA, emergency cart maintenance, and equipment compliance.
- Conduct chart audits to ensure compliance with clinical charting standards.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before patient arrival.
- Assist patients in feeling comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
- Take X-rays as needed and confirm/update patient medical history.
- Educate patients on treatments and post-procedure oral care.
- Assist doctors with all dental procedures and accurately document patient records.
- Work with the Dental Treatment Coordinator to schedule patient treatments appropriately.
- Sterilize and maintain instruments, handpieces, suction, traps, and X-ray/sensor units.
- Ensure operatories and sterilization areas are fully stocked and order materials as needed.
- Navigate dental software proficiently and train new staff members.
- Communicate clinical team performance updates with the Practice Manager/Operations team.
- Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and adherence to office policies and work schedules.
- Stay current with certifications, licenses, and continuing education requirements.
- Anticipate patient and team needs for smooth clinical operations.
- May require travel between office locations (must be insurable under company policy).
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
