Description
- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting Dentist in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
- Assisting Dentist with procedures
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
- Communicate information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs to patients and parents.
- Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
- Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Caring for/Maintaining dental equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must enjoy working with children
- At least 1 year of pediatric dental assisting experience is preferred
- PMS (Dox) expereince preferred
- Self-motivated, organized, and have a positive, can-do attitude
- Possess good understanding of dental terminology
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Experienced in delivering high-level customer service
- HIgh attention to detail
- Committed to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed
Salary : $21 - $26
