Position Summary:
The Financial Coordinator is responsible for managing patient accounts, presenting financial options, processing insurance claims, and supporting the overall financial health of the practice. This role requires a strong understanding of dental and orthodontic insurance, excellent communication skills, and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
Great Work-Life Balance: Schedule is Monday -Friday 9am-5pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional, friendly manner
- Review and explain treatment plans and financial arrangements
- Present payment options and process financial contracts
- Manage insurance benefit verifications and claims submissions
- Follow up on outstanding claims and patient balances
- Reconcile daily financial reports and handle payments accurately
- Communicate effectively with patients about account status and billing questions
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient experience
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient financial records
- Support front desk duties as needed (scheduling, phones, etc.)
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dental or orthodontic office required (1–2 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and collections
- Proficient in dental software (e.g., Dolphin, Orthotrac, Open Dental, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
