Description
Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures under the supervision of a dentist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and proper care techniques
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Maintain and sterilize dental equipment
- Keep accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and billing
- Work collaboratively with the dental team to provide excellent patient care

- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays
- Ability to educate patients on oral hygiene practices

Requirements
- Examine patients' teeth and gums, and document findings
- Remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
- Teach patients how to brush and floss, and how to care for their teeth
- Take and develop x-rays to check for decay and disease
- Apply sealants and fluoride to help protect teeth
- Apply topical or local anesthetics, if permitted by the dental practice
- Place or remove sutures
- Apply nitrous oxide
- Update patient health and dental history forms
- Communicate with patients in a professional way
- Practice universal precautions and other sterilization and infection control procedures
*Pediatric experience preferred, not required.
Salary : $38 - $45
