Join our team today! Our specialty dental practice in Portland, OR is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Dental Assistant to join our team and contribute top-notch dental care. The Lead Dental Assistant helps lead our practice to success by providing guidance to our dental assistant team, ordering supplies, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures, and setting the tone for great patient experiences.
Lead Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service for the patient, demonstrating excellent chairside manner.
Assist the doctor with all dental procedures.
Seating and dismissing patients, going over tooth history/symptoms and medical history.
Take radiographs, CBCT scans and charting for the doctor.
Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctors' schedule and patient flow; ensure limited to no patient wait time; be present, engaged, and prepared.
Clean and set up exam and treatment rooms.
Review patient chart prior to patients arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment.
Order and organize dental supplies.
Help with front office duties when needed.
Have OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control knowledge, CPR certified.
Lead Dental Assistant Qualifications:
Active Radiology Certification in the state of Oregon.
Active Oregon DA certificate - EFDA preferred.
2 or more years of Dental Assisting Experience is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
Reliability and punctuality.
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
Must be organized and able to prioritize efficiently.
