Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. A background in pediatrics or general dentistry is a plus, as well as experience with dental reception tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by preparing instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout the surgical process.
- Perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist with patient diagnostics.
- Collaborate with dentists and specialists in endodontics to ensure optimal patient care.
- Provide support in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and organized post-procedure.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatrics, general dentistry, or endodontics is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records is desirable.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to handle medical imaging equipment effectively.
