Job Summary
Essential Duties
- 20-30% Support Accounting Manager goals and activities and Plant processes to reduce costs and improve profitability
- Operations involvement – work to understand plant manufacturing process and quality variables that impact the manufacturing
- Variance analysis forecasting (weekly/monthly) and actual performance reporting to Plant staff and Corporate management
- Use intellectual curiosity to identify and resolve receiving, material usage and PPV issues
- Work with department managers overhead spending control
- Assist with business analysis projects
- 20-30% Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all financial information
- Month-end closing and reporting
- Goods received not billed reporting
- Preparation, tracking, reviewing, and posting of journal entries
- Account analysis and reconciliation (balance sheet accounts) during closing, as required
- Coordinate and/or review booking of monthly raw material physical count
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- 20-30% Maintain capital (AFCE) project files by assisting with profit bearing AFCE savings analysis and gain/loss on asset disposals. Ensure compliance with Company policy regarding copies of all invoices in an AFCE file. Coordinate and/or provide assistance with monthly reporting of Capital spending forecasting. Prepare the monthly reporting of fixed asset additions, disposals and changes (schedule 2). Provide oversight of fixed asset physical inventories to ensure compliance with company policy. Review fixed asset records to validate accuracy of data.
- 15-20% Assist with annual physical inventory process and control. Perform and/or audit cycle counts for finished goods, raw materials and consumables (storeroom) throughout the year. Assist with SMOOSI management throughout the year. Reporting of production (balance, audit and verify).
- 15-20% Provide support and assistance with the annual budget process. Assist the Accounting Manager and Plant staff to meet the budget timeline. Analyze accounts and prepare schedules as requested.

- Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance Required
- Designation of CPA, MBA, or CMA prefered but not required Preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment. General Ledger, manufacturing cost, and balance sheet experience
