The Community Assistant plays a key role in supporting the property team to achieve occupancy and retention goals. Responsibilities include performing administrative tasks related to leasing, marketing, and customer service while striving for 100% occupancy through resident retention, leasing current availability, and pre-leasing future openings. Description

  • Support occupancy and retention goals by assisting with leasing, marketing, and customer service tasks.
  • Implement marketing strategies at housing fairs, open houses, orientations, and other community events.
  • Assist with planning and executing resident activities to foster a positive living environment.
  • Provide feedback to enhance marketing plans, timelines, and strategies while tracking their effectiveness and aligning with budget recommendations.
  • Conduct market surveys, housing cost analyses, and maintain relationships with university departments to strengthen marketing efforts.
  • Manage social media campaigns, maintain marketing collateral, and oversee inventory of promotional materials.
  • Handle lease file documentation, complete lease applications, and participate in lease file audits.
  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, conducting tours, and facilitating lease agreements.
  • Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, roommate matching, and ensure apartments are clean and ready for residents.
  • Respond to after-hours lockout calls and coordinate emergency call routing.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with residents, parents, and university personnel, fostering a sense of community.
  • Monitor and report on marketing and property updates during regular staff and property meetings.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of customer service and sales experience.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, property management software (preferably Entrata), and marketing tools.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, including budgets and reports.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • High-energy, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
