SUMMARY:
· Performs a variety of duties related to radiology exams including
positioning and taking radiographs of all parts of the human body, regulating
patient exposure to radiation for diagnostic exams, processing films, assisting
the Radiologist in procedures, and maintaining patient records and room logs.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
· High school degree or equivalent required.
· Must be a graduate from an A.M.A. approved School of Radiologic
Technology
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Current Louisiana license for a Radiographer
· Be eligible to sit for the registry (24 months or 4 year degree)
