MSK Precision Products is looking for a talented, highly experienced Manufacturing Engineering to join our team. We specialize in manufacturing superior high precision parts and assembly for the medical, aerospace and DOD industries. With a packaging and assembly department, MSK is capable of providing individual parts or complete finished assemblies for their customers. Core competencies include Precision Swiss-Style Turning, CNC 5 Axis Precision Cutter Grinding, CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Laser Marking, Laser Welding, Wire EDM, and Passivation. AS9100D Certified - ISO 13485 Certified - ISO 9001 Certified.

Job Summary

Identify areas for improvement, maintain high levels of manufacturing and product quality, design new products and assembly processes as well as special tooling, fixtures and inspection equipment. Prepare customer quotes for new parts and assemblies and re-quote existing parts and assemblies as pricing adjustments are required. Provide technical assistance to the shop floor.

Job Responsibilities

Creates new part and assembly processes utilizing both in house capabilities and outside processes.
Updates and optimizes existing part and assembly processes utilizing both in house capabilities and outside processes.
Prepare customer quotes for new parts and assemblies and re-quote existing parts and assemblies as pricing adjustments are required.
Prepare inspection check sheets for all processes utilizing available inspection equipment and methods and recommending new inspection methods as required.
Provide technical assistance to the shop floor while proving out new part and assembly processes.
Provide technical assistance to the shop floor as required to resolve manufacturing issues and optimize existing processes.
Design special tooling, fixtures and inspection equipment.

Requirements :

Knowledge of machining practices including, but not limited to CNC Turning, CNC Milling, CNC Swiss Machining, all conventional machining practices, both in house and outsourced.

Knowledge of special processes including, but not limited to heat treatment, metal plating, coating, welding and EDM.

Knowledge of, and experience with the machining of all metals and plastics.

Knowledge of inspection equipment and methods used in the machining environment.

Knowledge of ERP systems, processes and routing. Knowledge of Syteline ERP system, a plus.

Knowledge of SolidWorks is required.

Job Expectations

Conduct and present yourself in a professional manner at all times.

Manage your work schedule as required to meet increased customer demands and spikes in the Engineering Department through self-management.

As part of a support department, understand that our goal is to ensure that the shop floor is able to run efficiently and in a timely manner.

As MSK evolves to meet the demands of our customers, all members of the Engineering Department must be willing to change as directed by management to meet these goals.

Job Qualifications

Experience : 5 to 8 years on the job experience in manufacturing environment.

Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve shared goals.
