Key Responsibilities:
- Open and prepare the office each day
- Maintain a neat and organized reception area and waiting room
- Order and organize necessary reception equipment, inventory, and supplies
- Set up existing patient charts and create new patient charts
- Ensure efficient and comprehensive patient flow from check-in to check-out
- Greet patients courteously and professionally, and inform them of office procedures and policies
- Collect patient payments, including copayments and outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate daily financial records and handle money responsibly
- Update and manage patient information
- Verify active insurance plans, coverage, and referrals
- Coordinate with medical providers, assistants, supervisors, and office staff to provide outstanding patient care
- Check out patients and accurately schedule new or follow-up appointments
- Answer phone calls professionally and promptly
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes
- Perform filing tasks and maintain organized records
- Clean and prepare patient rooms
- Ensure HIPAA compliance
- Undertake additional responsibilities as needed by management
