What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telephone Receptionist/Appointment Scheduler position at Specialty Medical Practice?
In collaboration with three other telephone receptionists, the incumbent will answer incoming calls from all sources - directing all but appointment scheduling inquiries to an appropriate destination. Experience with multi-line telephone system and voice mail message retrieval is expected. Patient appointment scheduling, appointment cancellation and rescheduling as well as preliminary demographic information collection comprise the bulk of the duties. Keyboarding skills are essential to the job. Past experience working with and understanding health insurance requirements as related to a patient visit is essential. Knowledge and use of electronic health record applications and website navigation skills are required.

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
